With all of the new things happening this year at the Kennedy Space Center with the new Atlantis exhibit opening later this year, Kennedy Space Center has something fun in mind for the little ones as well.  Rovio Mobile has teamed up with the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to create a one-of-a-kind area for kids called The Angry Birds Space Encounter.

The interactive area, which is set to open later this spring, is the first of its kind area in the United States and is specifically geared towards children, but I am sure adults won’t be too far behind.

“Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is an absolute must-see destination, and in 2013 our guests will find more to enjoy and experience than ever before,” said Bill Moore, who is the chief operating officer of Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

The new area is part of a $100 million expansion happening out at the Visitors Complex this year.
