Rachel Booth won the Disney Princess half marathon during the 13.1-mile journey through Epcot and Magic Kingdom on Sunday for the second time.  Rachel beat her time from a year ago of 1:18:11, she finished early Sunday morning at a time of 1:17:38, 33 seconds faster than her time a year ago.

“As I got to Mile 7 and 8 and through Mile 10, I got to see some people (cheering) and that definitely gave me extra incentive.’’ said Rachel after finishing the race.  “It never gets old, for sure,’’ said Booth, as she was greeted at the finish line by her husband and two kids.

The weekend was filled with other events, from the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Royal Family 5K, Kids’ Races and Disney’s Fit for a Princess Expo.  More than 36,000 runners, most of which were women, attended the events over the weekend.
