After Hurricane Sandy devistated the east coast, much of the attractions that spot the east coast were severely damaged.  Coney Island reopened its doors after some much needed repairs to their electrical system needed to occur before opening.  Senator Chuck Schumer and the Brooklyn Borough president did the ribbon cutting on Sunday and also took place in the annual “Blessing of the rides” by smashing an egg cream on the lead car of the Coney Island Cyclone roller coaster.
