When the Hyperion Wharf remodeling for the Downtown Disney area of the Walt Disney World Resort flopped, a new idea was sure to come along for the much needed Pleasure Island section of Downtown Disney.  Disney has officially unveiled the new Disney Springs.

Disney Springs will consist of three areas, The Landing, Marketplace and West Side.  This new makeover will expand the current retails offerings from 75 to over 150 choices of shopping and dining and entertainment venues.  Construction is scheduled to start next month and will open in phases, the last one opening sometime in 2016.
