Disney is celebrating 20 years of The Disney Wilderness Preserve. The Disney Wilderness Preserve is located just south of the Walt Disney World Resort and is a 8,500 acre plot of land that Disney set aside for conservation back in the 1990’s. Disney also had to set aside this plot of land to demolish nearly 28,000 acres on its property for theme parks and anything else it planned to build on their land.
While the preserve is normally opened to the public, it is not open on the weekend. Disney is opening the preserve for one Saturday, and that is on April 27th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. To reserve your admission to the preserve for the Saturday opening, click here.
