Demolition begins at Pleasure Island to make way for Disney Springs

Demolition is underway at Pleasure Island at Downtown Disney to make way for the new Disney Springs makeover of Downtown Disney.  Demolition began today on the old Comedy Warehouse club at Pleasure Island.  The Pleasure Island section of Downtown Disney opened back in 1998,only to close in 2008.

The new Disney Springs will double the number of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues in the old Downtown Disney area, which will be re-named Disney Springs once it is completed in 2016.
