Developers get 600 acres for Grand Texas Theme park

Everything is bigger in Texas right?  It looks like the company behind the building of Grand Texas Theme Park and Big Rivers Water Park got ahold of approximately 600 acres to build the park.  The area will feature the theme park, a water park and a equestrian center and retail center.

“We are extremely pleased to reach a major milestone in the birth of Grand Texas,” said developer Monty Galland.  The park would fill the void left by the old Six Flags AstroWorld and welcome 300-400 jobs to the area.

Construction is scheduled to begin later this year and be completed some time in 2015.
