SeaWorld Orlando has a new resident at its park.  Big Mama is a 245 pound loggerhead sea turtle that was transferred to SeaWorld Orlando after spending two years at the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies (IMMS) in Gulfport, Miss.  Big Mama was rescued during the 2010 oil spill along the gulf coast and had several bite wounds to her front and hind flippers making it difficult for her to swim.

Big Mama is currently in the quarantine area of the park while she is observed by SeaWorld’s animal experts and vets.
