Universal Orlando announces some changes to its meal plan

Universal Orlando is revamping its meal plan with a new one and even free meals for on-site guests.  If you book one of Universal Orlando’s Vacation Like You Mean It packages, you will be offered the dining plan for free.  But you must book your stay by August 29 in order to take advantage of the free meal plan.  If you are staying off resort and still want a meal plan, Universal has you covered also.  Here is the rundown of the new meal plan:

he dining plan cost for adults is $45.99 plus tax and for children (age 3-9) $17.99 plus tax, gratuities not included. Guests at Universal do not have to purchase the dining plan for their entire length of stay, it is available for as many days as guests choose. For each day purchased guest will receive the following:

  • 1 table service meal (entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage)
  • 1 counter service meal (entree and non-alcoholic beverage)
  • 1 snack
  • 1 beverage
