It looks like the World of Chima is continung to grow at the Legoland parks.  Both Legoland in Florida and California introduced  a World of Chima water ride for 2013 this year, and now Legland in California is getting a Chima-themed expansion of their water park for 2014.  The 2.5-acre expansion will feature an interactive wave pool themed after the highly popular Chima Lego cartoon series and toy line.

“This will feel like a very contained, themed area, and the children will get it quickly because of the Chima product line,” said Legoland California President Peter Ronchetti. “Our sister park in Florida opened a Legends of Chima area on the dry side of the park, and we chose to go with the same product line because it gets heavyweight support from the Lego toy company, and the cartoon is on the Cartoon Network. It’s the No. 1 new product for Lego.”

The expansion is going to cost the park around $12 million to build and will be located in the northeastern part of the park near the Pirate Reef attraction which opened last year.
