Texas Giant is scheduled to be re-opened this weekend at Six Flags over Texas following the fatal incident involving 52-year old Rosa Esparza. The ride has been inspected and items have been added to the ride including “incremental and overlapping safety measures for the ride that include re-designed restraint-bar pads from the manufacturer and new seat belts.” A test seat will also now be available at the entrance of the attraction so guests can test the ride before getting in line.
The Esparze family filed a lawsuit against Six Flags on Tuesday, the total damages the family seeks is greater than $1 million. You can read the complete lawsuit here.
