Kirsty Mewett, 23, was at Thorpe Park in England and about to board the Colossus roller coaster at the park. She began boarding the ride when she noticed that she did not fit into the seat properly. Thorpe Park staff was forced to tell her that she could not ride due to not fitting properly into the seat and she was asked to leave the attraction.
She said: “As soon as I walked on to the ride the staff were just staring at me and I didn’t know why. Kirsty got pregnant at 16 and she got an abortion, so Kirsty began eating a lot of food to deal with her emotions after the abortion.
The breaking moment for Kirsty was at Thorpe Park that day and she began loosing the weight by cutting out takeout and soda and began working out on Wii Fit and running. Last summer, Kirsty found out she was pregnant and gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Alfie.
She is currently still working out to get down to a final weight of around 154 and is well on her way to enjoying the attractions at Thorpe Park again.
“I can’t believe how much my life has changed. I will never have trouble going back to a theme park again – and soon I’ll be able to take Alfie on the rides.”
