The Disney Magic is on its way back to Miami for its re-launch after an extensive refurbishment in Spain. The ship got new additions and improvements for guests and cast members. The ship ran into some weather conditions that caused a brief delay in the maiden voyage of the re-imagined Magic.
“We encountered challenging weather conditions that made the necessary work impossible to complete in time for the first cruise,” Disney Cruise Line spokeswoman Rena Langley said. “Clearly, we want the ship to be perfect when we welcome guests aboard.”
Passengers that were scheduled for that cruise have received a full refund of the cruise and any airline charges, and have been offered a complimentary cruise from now until May 2014. Or guests have the option of taking 35% off any Disney cruise in the Bahamas or Caribbean, taken within two years, excluding holidays.
The 5-day cruise out of Miami that was scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed until October 25.
