It looks like Schlitterbahn, a company who owns water parks in Texas and Kansas is looking to building a $110 million water park on the former site of the Fort Lauderdale Stadium.  The water park if built, would begin construction by the end of the year if approved.

The last water park in south Florida was a Six Flags owned water park named Atlantis, which closed after damage due to hurricane Andrew.
