It looks like AT&T and Disney are working together to increase their voice and data coverage across the Walt Disney World Resort without the use of huge ugly cell towers. Disneyland in California is also receiving these new small cellular base stations. AT&T is using these smaller more portable broadcasters instead of the full-sized antennas to conceal them better around the parks and resorts.
Disney has received about 350 of these small broadcasters so far, with focus being not on the guests, but rather the parks employees. Many off them are going underground within tunnels and other areas of the park where employees need the signal.
AT&T plans on rolling out more of these smaller broadcasters to other parks around the country, Disney was just the first to receive them due to the fact that Disney does not want huge cell towers ruining their guest experiences.
