The Dowdy Pavilion ice skating rink located on International Drive will be reopening under a new name, Galaxy Fun Orlando.

Bruce Roudebush, the company’s CEO and his business partner took the former ice skating rink and turned it into Orlando’s largest indoor playground, covering more than 48,000 square feet.  The new playground will feature 100 ramps, mazes, tunnels, tubes, slides and bridges throughout the new attraction.

Bruce mentions, “Kids aged 4-12 (max 60 inches) will play, climb, hide, tag and discover as they explore their spectacular, multi-level playground! They can also have a blast playing soccer indoors, with our exciting, specially designed Brazilian street-soccer court!

“Separate from the bigger kids, children aged 1-3 play in their own magical playground, specially created for their size and abilities, where parents are welcome to join them. Our philosophy of a playground is completely new to the Orlando area.”

Prices for the new Galaxy Fun playground are $9.99 for children 1-3 years old, which will have access to the Mini-rocket playground area.  And kids ages 4-12 will be $19.99, with access to the Maxi-rocket playground and Galaxy Soccer field.

Maybe they will have an adult-only day? I can dream, can’t I?
