The Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival opens May 23 and features internationally-inspired menus, wines and other refreshments only offered during the festival.
“Last year’s Food & Wine Festival was so popular with guests that we are adding two additional weekends to the lineup. And with the addition of two new globally-inspired menus, there is even more for guests to do, see and, most importantly, taste,” said Park President Carl Lum.
The recipe for this delicious festival calls for 14 international tasting stations sprinkled throughout the park’s lush landscape, a splash of wine during a “Wine on the Rhine” cruise and a dash of amazement when artisans turn ordinary food into extraordinary sculptures during daily “Art of Food” demonstrations. Fold in generous sample sizes that range in price from $3 – $7 and serve with a side of natural fun at the world’s most beautiful theme park.
Busch Gardens enlisted the help of its Facebook fans to add American Southwest and Caribbean menus to this year’s lineup of exotic flavors. Featured items like Gamba fritters with pickapeppa dip and adobo chicken with mole sauce will join the delectable offerings returning this year.
“The Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival lets our culinary team explore the trends in international cuisine and bring the flavors of the world to park guests,” said Busch Gardens Executive Chef Justin Watson.
Tasting is a snap with a Food & Wine Festival Sampler Trio certificate that allows guests to sample any three entrées, desserts or non-alcoholic beverages for $12. With so many foods to choose from, the hardest decision might be deciding what to eat first. An adults-only sampling cruise on the park’s Rhine River, Date Night on the Rhine, is now available alongside the park’s popular Wine on the Rhine cruises. Guests can enjoy the Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through June 29.
