It looks like fans of Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain will have to say their goodbyes to the original Colossus on August 16.  The ride has been at the park for 36 years and will be closing for good on that day.  The park hung banners around the park announcing the final ride day.

There have been several rumors of a ‘Iron Colossus’ Rocky Mountain makeover of Colossus, which would turn the two racing tracks into one gigantic coaster, but nothing has been offiicially announced as a replacement for Colossus.
