Walt Disney World has announced a new expansion coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The new area will feature a brand-new area in Africa called the Africa Marketplace. This new area will be located in Harambe and feature restaurants, shopping and will double the size of the Africa section of Animal Kingdom.
One of the biggest announcements is the addition of a new quick service restaurant that will feature several areas for guests to walk up and select from different African inspired cuisines.
A new table service restaurant is also coming to this expansion as well. Not many details are known about the new table service restaurant other than it will occupy some of the space where Pizzafari currently is.
A new bridge is also coming that will allow more space between Africa and Asia, allowing for better traffic flow of guests.
It is great to see all of these enhancements coming to Animal Kingdom which include more space and better traffic flow, because if you have ever been to Animal Kingdom, you know it can get pretty cramped in that park at times.
