It looks like The Great Movie Ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is finally going to be getting a much needed facelift due to a new sponsorship between Disney and TCM.

The ride will be receiving new pre- and post-segments of the ride and as a return, TCM will receive “Presented by” credits throughout the attraction.  TCM will also receive vintage movies, cartoons, documentaries and episodes of TV from Disney to broadcast.  These new segments will be offered four to five times a year, according to Charlie Tabesh, senior vice president for programming and production of TCM.  The first segments will run 8 PM EST, on December 21 through 5:15 AM on December 22.

“Disney films and other programming have been seen a little bit on TCM, but not much,” he added. “It will be exciting to dig into the vault and see classic Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, ‘The Wonderful World of Disney,’ ” he said.

The first changes coming to The Great Movie Ride are scheduled to appear within the first quarter of 2015.  It appears that no scenes will be changed during the ride, rather a change of the movie at the end of the ride and probably a new queue video.
