New “Frozen Fun” announced for Disney’s California Adventure

New "Frozen Fun" announced for Disney's California Adventure 1

Disney’s California Adventure is about to get a Frozen makeover with the announcement of all-new “Frozen Fun” coming to the park.  Similar to what we got here in Orlando at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s California Adventure will be receiving all sorts of new Frozen-themed fun starting next month.

This includes an all-new “For the First Time in Forever – A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” inside the Muppet*Vision 3D theater.  The theater has been transformed into the Crown Jewel Theater from Arendelle. Join the Arendelle historians along with Anna, Elsa and Kristoff on a new adventure as they retell the history of Arendelle, while experiencing sing along moments from your favorite “Frozen” tunes.

Join Olaf at Olaf’s Snow Fest inside Stage 17 in Hollywood Land in an all-new wonderland featuring music by The Frolicking Fjords and The Tubadors.  Guests can slide down a slide made out of snow, build a snowman, and yes, guests can even meet Olaf himself.  Guests can also pick up special “Frozen” treats and souvenirs to complete their day.

And if that was not enough to satisfy your “Frozen” souvenir thirst, head outside to Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post where you can pick up “Frozen” apparel, toys, plush mugs and more.

A new meet and greet area for Anna and Elsa will be coming to the Disney Animation attraction inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  The new meet and greet will feature sounds and sights from the movie and will be a unique experience for guests to meet Anna and Elsa.

Close out the evening with a new nighttime dance party called “Freeze the Night! A Family Dance Party” at Disney’s California Adventure.  Guests can head on over to Hollywood Land and experience music, dancing fun and more in this all new street experience.  Guests will enter through a “frozen” archway to find immersive lighting, sounds, photo spots, “Frozen” themed treats and beverages.  The night concludes with a giant thermometer monitoring the temperature, and when it hits the freezing point, the party breaks into a “Frozen Fun” crescendo to close out the night.

Other attractions throughout the park will also be receiving hints of “Frozen” themed fun.  When the Storybook Land Canal Boats return later this month, it will feature the world of “Frozen” and will take guests through the village of Arendelle and the castle in which Anna and Elsa grew up in, Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post, and Elsa’s famous ice palace.  Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink also continues through February 22, 2015.  And over at Downtown Disney, the  Anna & Elsa’s Boutique is now open, giving the princess at heart the opportunity for a “Frozen” makeover.

Guests will have a sneak peek of some of these experiences starting December 20 and kicks off to officially on January 7, 2015.
