The Nightmare Before Christmas layover has been removed from the Haunted Mansion and now Disneyland is teasing something on the official Disney Parks Blog.

What could it be?  Many rumors are leaning towards the return of the Hatbox Ghost to the attraction.

For those of you not too familiar with the Hatbox Ghost, he was a ghost inside the the Disneyland Haunted Mansion when it opened back in 1969.  He was later removed due to mechanical issues.  No one knows for sure what happened to the Hatbox Ghost after that.

A newly updated Hatbox Ghost made his debut at D23 back in 2013.  It was also rumored that Guillermo del Toro’s reboot of the Haunted Mansion film would feature the Hatbox Ghost as well.

Could we finally be seeing the return of the infamous Hatbox Ghost at Disneyland?  It looks like we will soon find out.
