We all know of the construction going on right now at Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios Florida.  “Project 340” is rumored to be the return of King Kong to the Universal Orlando Resort in a new experience to Skull Island.

No official announcement has been made by Universal yet on this new attraction but construction is well underway on something between Jurassic Park River Adventure and Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls

Well upon reading this article via the Orlando Business Jorunal, closer examination of the artwork behind Bill Coan, ITEC President, one can notice some interesting concept art and even some blueprints.  I zoomed in on the above photo showing what appears to be the words “King Kong” on one of them in the font similar to the movie logo (pictured below) and the Universal logo.  The blueprints from the photo below even looks like one from the new attraction as well.

The attraction is rumored to be based along the lines of attractions that ITEC produces utilizing massive projection screen technology.  ITEC has worked with Universal Orlando in the past on Revenge of the Mummy.

Could these be blueprints for the new Kong attraction coming to Islands of Adventure?  Possibly.

Only time will tell if they are for sure the real thing or just something to throw us off or if they are for a completely different Kong attraction going somewhere else.  Universal Studios Dubailand is rumored to get a dueling King Kong coaster similar to Dragon Challenge at Islands of Adventure, which is what the concept artwork is for by the looks of it.
