That’s no moon…  That’s the Death Star arriving at LEGOLAND California as a new addition to the LEGO Star Wars Miniland.

The planet shaped LEGO model, made out of more than a half million LEGO bricks, stands 13-feet high, 8-feet wide and weighs more than 1,900 pounds.  It is the largest model ever inside the Star Wars Miniland section of the park.

The LEGO Death Star is so massive that a forklift had to be used to hoist it into place.  It was modeled after the Death Star featured in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

The unveiling of the LEGO Death Star kicks off LEGO Star Wars Days event on March 7 and 8, where guests can spend the day participating in Star Wars related activities.  All of this is included with your regular paid admission to LEGOLAND California.
