New entertainment venues coming to Epcot this spring as the International Flower & Garden Festival begins
Epcot has announced new entertainment additions to several World Showcase countries, including Italy, United Kingdom and more.
In Italy, guests will be able to experience the 500 year old tradition of the flag-throwing team of Sbandieratori Di Sansepolcro. The act features hand-painted flags, authentic period costumes and live music.
The Paul McKenna Band will be joining the streets of United Kingdom. The band consists of a four-piece group from Glasgow, Scotland. Their music takes as contemporary but does not stretch far from their Scottish, folk music roots.
In Canada, guests can watch as Canadian Lumberjacks show off their skill in competitive sports such as axe throwing, chopping, log rolling and more.
In Morocco, guests will be able to experience B’net Al Houwariyate, a Berber music and dance troupe from Marrakesh. The group will be located at the Medina stage in the Morocco pavilion. The group highlights the experiences and stories of women throughout Morocco.
Voices of Liberty has a new sound at the America Gardens Theatre where guests can experience a special performance of the 8-part a cappella group. Their regularly scheduled performances continue at The American Adventure pavilion Wednesday – Sunday.
Other activites throughout The World Showcase include Mariachi Cobre in Mexico, Jeweled Dragon Acrobats in China and the incredibly popular Taiko drummers of Matsuriza in Japan.
Now is one of the best times to visit Epcot as The International Flower & Garden Festival kicks into high gear offering a fresh take on lush gardens, inspired flavors and lively entertainment throughout Epcot. The International Flower & Garden Festival runs March 4-May 17.
