Justice League: Battle for Metropolis set for late May opening at Six Flags over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas JUSTICE LEAGUE

Earlier today, the press got a behind the scenes look of Justice League: Battle for Metropolis.  The new Sally dark ride coming to Six Flags over Texas is progressing nicely with final touches being made to the ride, including finishing the exterior of the 17,000 square foot building.

The ride will last 3 minutes and 20 seconds and will feature giant screens with your favorite DC villains and heroes as you battle for the city of Metropolis.  Guests are armed with a stun blaster and blast away DC villains all while wearing 3D glasses.  Each ride vehicle is designed to spin 360-degrees and tilt forward, backwards and side to side.

When asked about the price of the attraction, Park president Steve Martindale did not give a price tag, but mentioned that it is on par with the price of building a roller coaster.

Similar attractions are also being built at Six Flags St. Louis and will be replacing the Scooby-Doo! Ghostblasters: The Mystery of the Scary Swamp ride.  The version at Six Flags over Texas is replacing the Adventure Theater.
