Earlier this morning of members of the Orange County Fire Department’s Special Operations team ran mock training sessions on the Orlando Eye.

Members of the team climbed the 400 foot giant wheel in preparation of an emergency and the wheel had to be evacuated.

“If they don’t make it around the Eye, they won’t make (the team),” an Orange County fire official said.

The Orlando Eye is scheduled to open on May 4 with prices ranging from $18 to $32, depending on what package you choose.
