Earlier this month we reported that a new meet and greet with Velociraptors was coming to Islands of Adventure in the Jurassic Park section of the park.

The area officially opened on Friday, May 22 to guests and allows you to have a close encounter with what are perhaps some of the scariest dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, the Velociraptors.

Guests can interact with the dinosaurs as a person on a microphone gives information about the creature and then pose for a photo with the dinosaur before leaving the encounter.

The meet and greet is located in the old Triceratops Encounter area of the Jurassic Park section of the park.  The Triceratops Encounter was an area where guests could view a Triceratops and learn more about the dinosaur.

The new Raptor Encounter is open daily at Islands of Adventure.
