If you are one of the thousands of people eager to ride the new wood-steel hybrid coaster Twisted Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain, we now have a date.
“Just announced! Twisted Colossus will open to the public on Saturday, May 23,” Six Flags Magic Mountain posted via their official Twitter page.
Twisted Colossus will run approximately 4 minutes and will feature several unique elements over its 4,325 feet of track, including a “High Five” element — where two trains face each other as they pass through an section of the ride and a “Top Gun Stall” where the train slows while it is upside down.
“At Six Flags, innovation is in our DNA and with Twisted Colossus, innovation will go to an extreme level with record-breaking elements, faster speeds and steeper banks,” Six Flags Magic Mountain president Bonnie Rabjohn said in a statement.
The original Colossus opened its doors at Six Flags Magic Mountain back in 1978, providing over 30 years of thrills to park guests.
