LEGOLAND Florida started off as a place for kids to play, but has now grown into a place where the kids can stay, at the all-new LEGOLAND Hotel.

The LEGOLAND Hotel at LEGOLAND Florida Resort officially opened its doors today allowing the resort to become not just a one day trip, but a multi-day experience.

The hotel grand opening featured thousands of colorful LEGO minifigures blasting out of air cannons atop the hotel and a child discovering a key to officially open the hotel.

If you’ve been following us on Twitter and Facebook, we had the opportunity to stay in one of the Pirate themed rooms.  Other themes you can choose from include Kingdom, Adventure, and LEGO Friends.  The LEGOLAND Hotel in Florida is the only LEGOLAND Hotel to offer a Friends themed room and suite.

Some of the other cool features of the new LEGOLAND Resort at LEGOLAND Florida include a Master Model Builder Workshop.  Where kids can get one on one experience with a Master Model Builder as they build their very own LEGO set to to take home.  There is also a Model Shop inside the hotel where guests can watch Master Model Builders create the huge LEGO statues you will see throughout the LEGOLAND park and hotel.  This is the first time ever a LEGOLAND Resort has its Model Shop inside the Hotel.

There are a total of 152 rooms at the LEGOLAND Hotel.  Each room sleeps up to five, and offers a king-sized bed for adults and a separate sleeping area for up to three children, featuring a bunk bed and a trundle bed, as well as two flat panel TVs.
