In the latest seflie stick news, California Screamin’ at Disney’s California Adventure had to be stopped due to a rider pulling out a selfie stick before the launch.

Disney has recently updated their safety procedures to include selfie sticks due to their popularity at the parks.  Guests are allowed to bring selfie sticks into the park but are not allowed to have them fully extended on rides and attractions.

The person was notified and the ride was later reopened a few minutes later

It’s good to see Disney enforcing the selfie stick on attractions rule.  Both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom have recently plastered several rides with No Selfie Stick signs around various attractions warning guests of the danger they impose.

Just due us all a favor and leave the selfie sticks at home.
