There’s a change in the wind as to who will have the NBA restaurant in Orlando.

Earlier this week Walt Disney World announced a new NBA Experience coming to Disney Springs next year.  The new venue will feature interactive experiences, restaurant and a retail venue.

Universal Orlando announced via their Facebook page today that their NBA restaurant, called NBA City, will be closing in late August to make way for a new unannounced venue after they agreed to not renew their lease with the NBA.

What could be replacing NBA City at Universal Orlando’s Citywalk?  No one knows for sure.  There have been several rumors of a Cheesecake Factory going in there to a WWE Hall of Fame venue.  No one knows for sure.

Disney has not released details of what their NBA Experience will look like.

We will keep you posted when Universal makes the announcement.
