A new interactive attraction has begun soft openings at Six Flags Mexico featuring everyone’s favorite ghost catchers, The Ghostbusters.
The new attraction was developed by Sudden Impact and replaced the old Terminator attraction and features actors portraying seasoned Ghostbusters that are looking to hire some new Ghostbusters.
Once given instructions, guests are given their laser ghost busting gear, similar to a laser tag setup, and then are sent upstairs to compete against each other. The attraction features several familiar scenes from the Ghostbusters franchise.
“We’re excited to collaborate with Lynton on this fun yet spooky laser tag attraction. It’s a natural fit for the Ghostbusters brand, and we’re sure that attendees of Six Flags Mexico will know ‘who to call’ after making their way through the arena as paranormal heroes themselves,” says Gregory Economos, senior vice president, Global Consumer Products at Sony Pictures.
The ride also features several hidden surprises throughout the experience, including hidden targets and surprise characters.
The attraction is not included with Six Flags Mexico admission and is a separate charge.
It sure is nice seeing something Ghostbusters in an amusement park, just wish we could get a more permanent Ghostbusters attraction at a park.
The ride entered soft openings this week and is expected to open in July.
