Some more bad news out of the incident involving The Smiler roller coaster incident that happened earlier this month causing two trains to collide.

Vicky Balch, from Lancashire, is the second victim of the incident to have her leg amputated after the incident.  The first person to have the amputation was Leah Washington, 17, who had to have her leg amputated above the knee.

Vicky was riding in the front of The Smiler roller coaster alongside Leah and two other people, Joe Pugh and Daniel Thorpe, when it ran into an empty ride vehicle.

Alton Towers has been in close communication with all 16 victims of the incident and is supplying compensation for their injuries.
