Adventureland Park in Iowa announced that it will be getting a new scream machine for 2016 called “The Monster.”

The $9 million coaster will feature 2,500-foot steel track with a 133-foot vertical lift hill, five inversions, a 101-degree first drop and 10 “airtime” moments, according to the park.  The ride will be manufactured by German manufacturer Gerstlauer.

But before the ride can be built, the park is tearing down a crowd favorite attraction the classic Log Ride, which ran since the park first opened back in 1974.

The Log Ride will close down after Labor Day and will be dismantled and work will begin on The Monster for 2016.
