Old Town in Kissimmee to receive a $10 million facelift including a new Ferris Wheel

If you’re from the Central Florida area, odds are you’ve heard of the a little venue called Old Town in Kissimmee.

The area has been an iconic destination for locals and tourists since it opened back in 1986.  The area features several dining, shopping and entertainment venues for locals and tourists to enjoy.

The area has announced that the entire area will be receiving a much needed $10 million facelift.  Improvements include new restaurants, remodeled restrooms, additional parking capacity for 1,000 cars, a concert stage, farmer’s market and a brand new Ferris Wheel, which is one of the first things that greets visitors to Old Town.

“Old Town has a nostalgic appeal, creating many special memories for visitors over the last 30 years, and we are committed to enhancing that experience for many years to come,” said Brett Tollman, CEO of The Travel Corporation, the company that owns Old Town.

One of the most popular events at Old Town is the Saturday Night Cruise, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.
