New International Drive Skyplex and Skyscraper photos released 1

The Skyscraper at Skyplex has undergone several cosmetic changes since its original concept was unveiled and thanks to Joshua Wallack, we now have a much better look at the final product that will grace the skyline of International Drive once completed.

The new renderings give us a good look at the tropical theme the area will have once completed as well as the new Perkins restaurant that will be opening, which will be the largest in the world once completed.  Skyscraper at Skyplex will feature a 570-foot world’s tallest roller coaster, a 450-foot drop tower (SkyFall), 400,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space including the world’s largest Perkins, a zip-line, 350- key hotel, and a 2700 space parking structure.

There isnt much detail as to what the coaster will look like, this could be due design changes and hopefully we will have a better idea of what it will look like.  The company announced that Intamin is going to be the manufacturer for the roller coaster.  If you look closely at the above photo, you can see where the roller coaster will be returning to the station.

Construction is scheduled to start later this year and be completed some time in 2018.
