Guest struck and killed by train in restricted ride area at Cedar Point

**UPDATE**  Cedar Point has delayed their 2016 announcement due to the incident at Raptor yesterday.  They posted this statement on social media:

“Due to yesterday’s incident, we are respectfully postponing our 2016 announcement event.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

**UPDATE**  The guest that was struck and killed by a train from the Raptor roller coaster at Cedar Point has been identified as  James A. Young II of East Canton.  Young apparently jumped the fence to retrieve his cell phone after it fell from his pocket after riding.

No other injuries were reported from the incident.

A guest at Cedar Point was reportedly in a restricted area of the Raptor roller coaster earlier today and was struck by a train.

The man was pronounced dead at 5:12 P.M.

Cedar Point issued this statement via their Twitter account:

At 5 pm, a guest entered a restricted, fenced area of Raptor and was struck by the ride. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
