According to the Hollywood Reporter, the recently announced “Star Wars Land” coming to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios will begin construction in 2016.

The site recently interviewed Disney COO Tom Staggs and discussed the construction timeframe of the new land coming to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, Staggs remained tight lipped about an official opening date, though.

Staggs also mentioned that the Star Wars areas coming will be the biggest “single-theme” improvement to ever come to either coast.

Staggs also gave an update on Animal Kingdom’s Pandora: The World of Avatar.  “We’re going to make mountains float. It’s quite an engineering feat,” Staggs said in the interview.  Pandora: The World of Avatar is scheduled to open in 2017 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
