SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Inc. Appoints Matt Rearden to Senior Business Development Officer
SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Inc. today announced that Matt Rearden was appointed to the newly-created role of Senior Business Development Officer, effective immediately. Rearden previously served as the Corporate Vice President of Business Affairs for the Company.
Rearden will report directly to Joel Manby, SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc.’s President and Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). He will be responsible for developing new business and strategic partnerships and capitalizing on international and domestic development and merger and acquisition opportunities, while continuing to lead strategic planning initiatives for the Company.

His talents and track record make him the perfect person for this position,” said Manby. “We know that Matt will continue to bring value to our Company as we look at new and exciting partnership and growth opportunities for the future.”
Rearden has served as Corporate Vice President of Business Affairs since July 2013. In this role, he was a key advisor to the President and CEO and was responsible for corporate strategic planning, delivering on corporate objectives, managing the operations of the corporate headquarters and leading a variety of special projects. Previously, Rearden held the position of Associate General Counsel, where he focused on marketing, intellectual property and corporate legal work.
Before joining the Company in 2010, Rearden was a member of the in-house legal team with International Speedway Corporation and NASCAR, in Daytona Beach, Fla. Rearden received his undergraduate degree in finance from Oral Roberts University (ORU) and a juris doctor degree from Florida State University. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees at ORU and board member of the Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation.
