As Disney prepares to begin construction on the new Star Wars Land coming to Disney Hollywood Studios, the park announced today that there will be no Star Wars Weekends in 2016.

The theme park resort will kick off “Season of the Force” on December 1st instead, giving guests several new options to get their Star Wars fix at Hollywood Studios.

These new additions include an all-new scene in the Star Tours attraction at Disney Hollywood Studos that features scenes from Star Wars Episode VII.

Hollywood Studios will also be opening Star Wars Launch Bay, a new experience featuring exhibits and behind-the-scenes looks at the new film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” It also will sell Star Wars gear and visitors will be able to meet Darth Vader and Chewbacca.

The park will also be replacing the Jedi Training Academy with “Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple.”  Where kids can face off against Darth Vader and a new villain from the “Star War Rebels” series.

There will also “Star Wars: Path of the Jedi.”  This exhibit will feature scenes from all of the Star Wars films, getting even the most out of touch Star Wars fan caught up.

Which new Star Wars experience are you excited about?
