Some sad news out of SeaWorld San Antonio today as the park announced that one of their killer whales passed away.

Unna, an 18 year old female orca passed away at the park after a long battle with a strain of a fungus called Candida.

SeaWorld worked with leading medical experts around the country to attempt a treatment plan for the whale.  Unna showed some signs of improvement during the 24/7 treatment, but ultimately lost the battle with the fungus.

Unna was born at SeaWorld Orlando and was later transferred to SeaWorld San Antonio.

In honor of Unna, SeaWorld San Antonio canceled all of their killer whale shows.
