SeaWorld Orlando confirmed that the SkyTower attraction at its Orlando park has been stuck for almost three hours with approximately 50 riders on board.

SeaWorld issued a statement on the status of the attraction and the guests on board:

“We are working closely with Orange County Fire Rescue to quickly and safely remove all guest from the ride. We are in constant communication with the guests and team members on the ride, and all passengers are safe. The safety of our guests and team members is SeaWorld’s top priority.”

The SkyTower is a double-decker observation tower that raises guests to get a view of SeaWorld and the surrounding area from the sky

There have been no recorded rescues at the SkyTower until today.

Last we saw, rescue workers and SeaWorld maintenance were succefully able to lower the SkyTower capsule to safety with all guests on board.

We will keep you posted on any further developments.
