From Dec. 5 to Jan. 2, the Macy’s Holiday Parade fills the streets of Universal Studios Florida every evening with some of the same iconic elements seen winding through New York City each year at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Macy’s Holiday Parade is part of Universal Orlando Resort’s Holidays celebration, which features live entertainment that the whole family can enjoy.

Universal Orlando Resort is kicking off the holiday season this weekend at both of its iconic theme parks.

Over at Universal Studios Florida, the park will be kicking off the annual Macy’s Holiday Parade featuring some larger-than-life balloons seen in last week’s famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.  The park will also host a tree lighting ceremony and fun holiday characters.

What’s new in the Macy’s Holiday Parade this year? The Tom Turkey Balloonicle, a towering balloon and self-powered vehicle hybrid and Holiday Lights Balloon, a string of six dazzling balloons that dance through the air with ease.

Over at Islands of Adventure, the Grinch is back again in Grinchmas in Seuss Landing!

Guests can experience the “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular,” a heartwarming live retelling of Dr. Seuss’s classic holiday tale “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” featuring The Grinch and the Whos from Who-ville.

The Holiday Celebration runs from From December 5th to January 2nd.

We will be there covering the festivities on Saturday, so be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest photos, videos and more!
