New plans reveal how guests will get to and from Universal’s Volcano Bay water park

Universal Orlando Resort announces Volcano Bay Water Theme Park 2

Area in purple indicates work area for new roadway

Newly filed plans by Universal to the South Florida Water Management District give us some clues as to how guests will travel to and from Universal’s Volcano Bay to the south Universal parking garage.

The new plans show the drainage for a new tram/bus roadway with tunnels that runs parallel to I-4 to Universal’s south parking garage.

The plans also reveal that work will have to be done to the existing south parking garage to accommodate the trams and buses, with a separate entrance and exit for the trams and buses as well.

Volcano Bay will be opening in 2017 and will be the replacement water park when Wet ‘n Wild closes at the end of this year.  Universal has not announced that they plan on doing with the Wet ‘n Wild site once it closes.
