Orlando Eye Hosts Weddings 400 Feet in the Air on Valentine’s Weekend

Merlin Entertainment announces opening dates for The Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE Orlando

The Orlando Eye is inviting 30 lucky couples to celebrate their love with a wedding on the 400-foot observation wheel on Saturday, Feb. 13. Couples looking to plan their wedding, vow renewal or commitment ceremony are invited to submit a 30-second video on why they deserve to win a chance to have their ceremony on the observational wheel.

Each couple will receive a complimentary wedding private capsule. Each couple is responsible for bringing their own bouquets, their own officiant and up to six guests, for a maximum of nine guests in each capsule. Once the ceremonies are complete, the newlyweds and their guests are invited to a champagne and wedding cake reception in the I-Drive 360 Courtyard.

To be selected for consideration, couples must upload a video to YouTube and send the link to the Orlando Eye team ([email protected]) with a short description of the couple, including names and some special highlights of their relationship, as well as contact information, including email address and phone number. The email’s subject line should read “Orlando Eye Wedding.” Selected couples will be notified on Monday, Feb. 8.

“We are so excited to launch our wedding package options for the Orlando Eye,” said Orlando Eye General Manager Robin Goodchild. “We’ve had so many engagements and wedding ceremonies take place on the wheel, we’re thrilled to offer couples an unforgettable wedding experience.”
