New permits filed with the South Florida Water Management District may give us an idea as to the layout of the Na’vi River Journey, one of the attractions coming to Pandora: The World of Avatar coming to Animal Kingdom.

The newly filed permits are for a drainage system for the attraction that will allow the water from the attraction to drain into a stormwater drainage pond near the construction site of Pandora.

Upon closer inspection, the permits show what could possibly be the layout for the Na’vi River Journey. In this case, it would be the location in blue.

Here is a description of the Na’vi River Journey via the Disney Parks Blog:

The adventure begins as guests set out in canoes and venture down a mysterious, sacred river hidden within the bioluminescent rainforest. The full beauty of Pandora reveals itself as the canoes pass by exotic glowing plants and amazing creatures. The journey culminates in an encounter with a Na’vi shaman, who has a deep connection to the life force of Pandora and sends positive energy out into the forest through her music.

The other rumored attraction inside The World of Avatar is a Soarin’ type attraction where guests will be able ride on the backs of the banshee creatures found in the movie.

Only time will tell if this is indeed the exact layout of the Na’vi River Journey as Disney reveals more details about Pandora: The World of Avatar over the coming months.
