MAKOARIAL

A look at Mako construction at SeaWorld Orlando. New track is being added every day so this photo has already changed in just a few weeks!

NearMap is a company that specializes in high-resolution images from airplanes that fly below the clouds to capture excellent detail, and just recently updated their Orlando area images to a timeframe of just a few weeks ago.

Let’s take a look at a few of the Orlando area theme park projects underway:

AVATARARIAL

This is about close as you’ll get to Pandora: The World of Avatar for a while. The main ride building is fairly visible as well as the “floating islands” that will be in the new land at Animal Kingdom.

FASTANDFURIOUSARIAL

Although not much to look at currently, but this is the current status of the Fast & Furious attraction coming to Universal Studios Florida, or better known as the former location for Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue and Disaster!

HULKARIAL

This photo gives us a good idea of just how far Universal has come on rebuilding the Hulk. The coaster is currently heading towards the corkscrew that was located just behind the rides attraction entrance sign.

MICKEYSOLAR

This is the recently completed solar farm on Disney property near Epcot. The project is a partnership between Duke Energy and Walt Disney World.

VOLCANOBAYARIAL

This is the construction site for the new Volcano Bay waterpark coming to Universal Orlando Resort next year. Note the giant structure in the middle is most likely the iconic volcano structure that will be the icon of the park.

The above images were updated around the 5th of February, so these photos are fairly current as to the state of these attractions.

The folks over at Orlando Parks News have some more great photos to check out, including more Walt Disney World images, so be sure to check those out as well.
