New Star Wars entertainment announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios 1

Walt Disney World announced today that there will be even more Star Wars entertainment coming to the park with the addition of a new fireworks show and a new stage show.

The new stage show called “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away,” will feature iconic moments from Star Wars movies acted out live on Center Stage, which is the stage in front of the Chinese Theater.  The new show will feature characters from the Star Wars universe, including Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Darth Maul.  This new show makes its debut on April 4.

Also new, Captain Phasma will be leading an army of Stormtroopers from Star Wars Launch Bay to Center Stage several times a day.  This will begin on April 4 as well.

The new nighttime fireworks show called “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” will be replacing Symphony in the Stars and will feature “fireworks, pyrotechnics, special effects and video projections that will turn the nearby Chinese Theater and other buildings into the twin suns of Tatooine, a field of battle droids, the trench of the Death Star, Starkiller Base and other Star Wars destinations.”

This new fireworks show will be the most elaborate fireworks display to ever take place at Hollywood Studios, according to Disney.

These new Star Wars addition join the newly updated Star Tours attraction and the newly updated Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple show as well.
