Early last year, Nintendo officially announced that the company will be partnering with Universal to bring theme park attractions based on their hit video games here in the U.S. We got some confirmation today that they will be partnering with Universal Studios Japan as well.
Wall Street Journal reporter Takashi Mochizuki confirmed via Twitter while talking to Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima that Nintendo and Universal Studios Japan “reached a basic agreement in the theme park business.”
It was surely a given that Nintendo would be coming to Universal Studios Japan due to Nintendo being… Japanese. But at least we now have confirmation.
No details have been announced on any Nintendo-based attractions here in the U.S. or in Japan.
